HyperQuake hits the gym for LLS Race to Any Place.
Cincinnati, OH, March 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Second Annual Tristate Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Race to Any Place sponsored by MSA Sport was held Saturday March 12th at the Mason Community Center. The fundraiser invited teams to compete in stationary bike spinning for a six hour period to raise money for blood cancer research, education and patient services.
Downtown design and technology firm, HyperQuake, recruited staff members for the second year and made certain this time around that they’d be on top of their game.
“When it comes to giving back, our people always rise to the occasion. We are an active, high-energy group; so riding for LLS is something we look forward to,” said HyperQuake COO Colin Crotty.
In addition to their donated contributions, HyperQuake planned a day of training for the entire office on a Friday prior to the event. At noon, the HQ staffers left the office in team t-shirts and headed down to the gym to participate in a group workout.
“The team activity was a great success. We got people out of the office, moving and most importantly excited, excited about the LLS cause,” said Chris Strong.
A team of twelve represented HyperQuake completed 92.66 miles. While HQ didn’t take first, they came in just 15 miles shy and improved their mileage from 2010. Collectively, the 22 participating teams logged over 2,000 miles and the event raised $22,000 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
