“Many students and parents alike get confused among the various standardized tests taken during high school for use either getting into or placing out of college classes,” explains Rivera. He continues: “SAT and ACT scores both are used to evaluate a candidate’s application for admission into college. The SAT 2’s, in addition to being used for college admissions, may also allow for college placement out of introductory courses. The AP exam, if the scores are sufficient, will actually give the student college credit for courses taken during high school.”
