Markhoff & Mittman Partner Participates in Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial Dinner
Daniel Elias, Partner of Disability Law Firm, Markhoff & Mittman, P.C., and his band will help entertain the crowd and raise funds for scholarships at The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial Dinner on March 25, 2011.
New York, NY, March 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Disability attorneys at Markhoff & Mittman are pleased to announce that Partner Daniel Elias and his band are participating in The 10th Annual Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial Annual Fund Raising Dinner for its' Scholarship Program this month which marks the 100th anniversary of New York city's most deadly workplace disaster until 9/11.
The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial’s Scholarship fund provides scholarships to the children of parents permanently injured or killed on the job. Over the past ten years The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial has provided over $264,000. in scholarships. In the 2010-11 academic year alone, the fund has awarded twenty-three Triangle Scholars.
“Triangle is but the beginning place to remember and act,” commented Brian Mittman, Managing Partner of Markhoff & Mittman. Mittman is a sponsor and Director of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial and is proud of the scholarships that have been awarded. “I look forward to making a difference in many more lives,” continued Mittman.
Nationally millions of people are injured on the job each year and are looking for financial help in getting their children to college. Children in New York with a parent or guarding receiving disability benefits and are in good academic standing are eligible to apply for the Shirtwaist scholarship.
This years’ dinner will be help in New York City at the New York City Fire Museum.
