Byron Egan Selected for The International Who’s Who of Corporate Governance Lawyers Guide
Dallas, TX, March 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Jackson Walker partner Byron Egan was recently selected for inclusion in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Governance Lawyers 2011. The guide will be published in May and as a chapter of The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers 2012.
This marks the second time Mr. Egan has been included in the Corporate Governance guide; he was listed in the directory in 2009. Mr. Egan has also consistently been named to The International Who’s Who of M&A Lawyers list.
The International Who’s Who Guide seeks to identify private practice lawyers with a proven track record in providing corporate governance advice to boards of directors of listed companies and substantial privately held entities with respect to the most difficult and sensitive corporate disclosure, governance and policy issues, as well as dealing with new laws, regulations, stock exchange rules and governance principles. Attorneys are chosen from research based on client and peer evaluation conducted by Who’s Who Legal to determine the most successful lawyers in the world.
Mr. Egan is engaged in a corporate, partnership, securities, M&A and financing practice. He has extensive experience in business entity formation and governance matters, M&A, and financing transactions in a wide variety of industries including energy, financial and technology. In addition to handling transactions, he advises boards of directors and their audit, compensation and special committees with respect to fiduciary duty, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, special investigation and other issues. Mr. Egan received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Texas. After law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge Irving L. Goldberg on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Egan is Senior Vice Chair and chair of the Executive Council of the American Bar Association Mergers and Acquisitions Committee.
