The GRC Group Seeks Nominations for 2010 GRC MVP Awards
Clifton, NJ, March 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The GRC Group (http://www.grcg.com/grc-mvp-nominations-2010) has announced that nominations for its GRC MVP Awards will be accepted through March 31, 2011. The 2010 GRC MVP Awards recognize individual achievement and professional contributions in governance, risk management, and compliance during the 2010 calendar year.
The GRC MVP Awards recognize achievement in the following disciplines:
- Governance
- Risk Management
- Compliance
- IS/IT Governance
- IS/IT Risk Management
- IS/IT Compliance
Nominees are solicited from a broad spectrum of professionals, and nominations are submitted via the GRC Group website. “While the media often focuses on corporate malfeasance, the GRC MVP Awards serve to highlight the achievements of professionals who work tirelessly to ensure that their organizations exhibit strong GRC leadership,” said Sanjay Anand, President/CEO of the GRC Group. “In the process, their professional contributions raise the bar within the GRC field and their industry, as well as contributing to the betterment of society,” he said. Anand paints a few different scenarios that might prompt a GRC MVP award nomination. “For example, now that SOX compliance processes are in place, perhaps a GRC professional has leveraged those processes so that they support business objectives. Maybe a professional has initiated automated IT controls that have led to substantial savings in compliance efforts. Or, a nominee may have launched a social responsibility program that has brought cost savings to their organization while enhancing its reputation among its shareholders, stakeholders, and the public,” he said. After nominations close, the GRC Group’s review committee will shortlist finalists, and submit the shortlists to the GRC Group Board for final review and winner selection.
The GRC Group is perceived as the gold standard in recognizing knowledge of best practices in governance, risk management, and compliance. “We are proud to recognize professionals who are putting theory into practice, and who add immeasurable value to their organizations,” concluded Anand.
