Technology Solutions and Support Firm Expands Offerings with Vives’ New Position

Cary, NC, March 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Eric Hobbs, president of Technology Associates (http://www.technologyassociates.net), a full-service technology solutions and support firm, has announced that Nestor Vives has been promoted to the position of support services manager. In his previous position as associate network engineer, Vives monitored and administered client networks and provided technical support to customers. In his new role as support services manager, he will be responsible for ensuring that customer support issues are resolved properly, efficiently and completely, and he will provide ongoing training and development for support staff.

- Prior to joining Technology Associates, Vives garnered experience working as a senior network administrator at Kendle in Durham, N.C., where he was responsible for all aspects of server/network infrastructure. He also served as a senior technology consultant for WorkSmart in Durham, where he designed and implemented single and multi-site network infrastructures, and provided on-site support for medium-sized businesses. Vives attended the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, where he specialized in Liberal Arts Studies including courses in small business management.

- Vives’ additional professional experience includes serving as a technology specialist at the N.C. Department of Transportation in Raleigh, a field network engineer at Inacom Information Systems in Melbourne, Fla., and a network analyst at PC Doctors, Inc. in Winston-Salem, N.C.

- Vives is a Citrix Certified Administrator who is CCA (4.5) certified, as well as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). He was an MP in the U.S. Army Reserves, where he gained valuable business and leadership experience, and received the 1999 Outstanding Soldier Performance Award in Fort Bragg, N.C.
