Social Media and PR Consultancy BOTTLE PR Expands Team After Successful YouTube Application Wins New Appointment
BOTTLE PR has appointed social media consultant Claire Dunford after a bumper year which saw the Oxfordshire-based PR agency grow by over 40%.
London, United Kingdom, March 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The latest new appointment to Bottle PR, Social Media Consultant Claire Dunford, was selected as a result of BOTTLE PR’s ‘Social Media Challenge’, an initiative run via the BOTTLE PR blog and Twitter profile that invited potential consultants to pitch their skills and interest in social communications to the Oxfordshire-based PR agency through the creative use of social media, rather than via a traditional CV or application form.
Claire’s successful appointment was a result of a highly innovative self-promotional campaign targeted at BOTTLE’s directors that incorporated a YouTube slideshow and was run across the social media sites, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter and Facebook.
Claire, a former journalist at Wessex Features, moves from Michelin-starred restaurant L’ortolan, where she helped grow the company’s online presence as Marketing Executive for two years. As Social Media Consultant at BOTTLE PR, she will help manage the social media aspects of each account as well as driving e-marketing campaigns across BOTTLE PR’s expansive client base, including Poundland, The Fabulous Bakin’ Boys, and Dylon.
BOTTLE PR’s Head of Social Communications, Paul Sutton comments: “Claire joins us with valuable media experience and at a time when the agency has just been named as the most recommended PR agency outside of London in The Drum’s Recommended Agency Register.”
Sutton continues: "More and more companies are requesting our help with devising integrated communications strategies for social media and the web as part of their overall PR programmes, and as our social media consultant Claire will be a great asset to us in driving forward our commitment to reinforcing BOTTLE PR’s reputation one of the leaders in social media and PR consultancy. Our current clients are already reaping the rewards of our existing social comms knowledge and programmes, and we will continue to grow this team over the next year.”
Claire Dunford says: “I am delighted to be joining BOTTLE PR and can’t wait to get stuck in. I really believe that companies can benefit immensely by using social media. It enables organisations to become involved in numerous communities, from LinkedIn groups to Flickr sharing, and using each of these in conjunction with a brand will help yield results in the long term.
“The social web is all about sharing and conversing, so the more we, at BOTTLE PR, in our capacity as a social media and PR consultancy, can get a brand out there and interact with people, comment on forums, groups and networks, the greater the chances of the client becoming a known name. 2011 looks to be a really exciting year for BOTTLE PR so I’m thrilled to be a part of this dynamic team.”
