Atlanta, GA, March 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Leading Atlanta search engine marketing firm Prominent Placement, Inc., was selected as a finalist in the Search Marketing Pay-Per-Click category for this year’s Atlanta Marketer of the Year (AMY) Awards presented by the Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).
The winners will be announced at the AMY Awards Gala on March 29, 2011 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Each year, these awards recognize corporate and agency marketing professionals in the Atlanta area who have left an impression on the industry with innovation and outstanding results in marketing campaigns.
Prominent Placement has been a finalist seven times since 2003 and has won twice, in 2005 and 2010. The Search Marketing category recognizes strategic Internet marketing campaigns that increase website traffic response by utilizing pay-per-click advertising, search engine optimization, or an integrated combination of a couple of search marketing methods.
This year Prominent Placement was selected for its work for Generation Mortgage Company, “Targeting the Senior Market on Facebook PPC with Surprising Results.”
Generation Mortgage Company is the largest privately owned reverse mortgage retailer and wholesaler in the United States. A reverse mortgage allows qualifying seniors to safely collect income while living in their home and instead of making mortgage payments, they receive them. Seniors now represent 11% of all Facebook users, so PPI’s challenge was to maximize a limited PPC budget in a competitive industry and develop compelling messaging to increase conversion rates via social media. During the four months of the ad campaign, Generation Mortgage saw a 14% increase in paid web site traffic from Facebook alone, and had a 50% conversion rate, which was twice as high as their Google AdWords campaign.
