Webster, TX, March 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Lucky, a tall Swede with Viking blood running through his veins, and Julie, who grew up as his neighbor, find themselves tested first by the Great Depression and World War II, and then by the temptations life throws their way. They first kissed as small children and kept kissing all the way until high school graduation, loving each other all their lives. But will life’s unexpected turns keep them apart?
"Rubies Lost," published by Dog Ear Publishing, follows Lucky as he goes on a dangerous mission to the North Pacific, establishing a listening post on an island only 600 miles from Japan. He’s there only one day before being wounded and making a surprising discovery – a wooden box filled with cut rubies from Burma. He returns home and marries his sweetheart, but he can’t stop thinking about getting the rubies. An attractive redhead who claims to have psychic powers brings temptation, as does his obsession to retrieve the rubies. In the end, it is only his sister’s faith and the love of a good woman that lead him to do the right thing.
