Scottsdale, AZ, March 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Danny Gardner was happily living his life with his young family, fulfilled in his job and deeply in love with his wife, Stephanie, when he received the call that would change his life forever. Dorothy Connolly, the mother of his best friend from childhood and like a second mother to Danny himself, summoned him back to his hometown. She didn’t share any details, but Danny feared the worst: Michael was dead.

Upon arrival, his dark suspicions were confirmed. Michael had committed suicide, and the entire town was in shock. In high school, Michael had been the town’s golden boy, and Danny had been right by his side. As the boys grew older, Danny left town and Michael was left to fight his own personal demons, which drove him deeper into himself until he spent his days locked in his room, emerging only at night to drink at the local tavern. Dorothy’s call brought Danny back to his hometown, and it also triggered Danny’s guilt at his perceived abandonment of Michael in his hour of need. Dorothy tasked Danny with delivering Michael’s eulogy, and Danny delivers it gladly, but as time goes on, an unknown second suicide letter conveyed only to Danny propels him to explore his best friend profoundly and starts to learn if he really knew Michael at all, and if he understands his hometown as well as he thinks he does.

"Michael’s Eulogy," published by Dog Ear Publishing, promises thrills and twists from page one, and as the story progresses, the reader finds that it delivers. Full of fascinating characters and a very believable hero, the story keeps the reader wanting more. Author Christopher Selna spent the bulk of his childhood in Scottsdale, Arizona, and after a four year stint in the Marines, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in screenwriting. A desire for peace and quiet drove him to Oregon, where he completed three novels. He now resides in Scottsdale again. "Michael’s Eulogy" is his fourth novel.
