U.S. Concrete’s Dallas/Ft. Worth Plants Achieve Green-Star Status for Outstanding Environmental Performance
U.S. Concrete, Inc. today announced that the National Ready-Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has granted the prestigious NRMCA Green-Star Certification to all of its plants in its Redi-Mix Concrete, LLP operation in Dallas/Fort Worth.
Houston, TX, March 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- U.S. Concrete, Inc. (NASDAQ: USCR) today announced that the National Ready-Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has granted the prestigious NRMCA Green-Star Certification to all of its plants in its Redi-Mix Concrete, LLP operation in Dallas/Fort Worth. Since its inception, the NMRCA Green-Star Program has recognized those within the ready-mixed concrete industry who have achieved or are actively working to achieve environmental excellence and a demonstrable reduction of environmental impacts, following the principles of sustainability.
To earn the NRMCA Green-Star Certification, Redi-Mix Concrete demonstrated meticulous and sustainable actions in improving its plant efficiencies and reducing the environmental impact of its operations. The Program certified each of the plants based on 10 guiding principles of environmental stewardship, which range from top management commitment and compliance assurance, to continual improvement and industry leadership.
