Perymon Named Director of Clinical Services and Outreach
Amber D. Perymon, Psy.D., was recently promoted to director of Clinical Services and Outreach with Eden Autism Services Florida.
Fort Myers, FL, April 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Amber D. Perymon, Psy.D., was recently promoted to director of Clinical Services and Outreach with Eden Autism Services Florida. In this role, Dr. Perymon is responsible for developing, monitoring and managing all clinical services provided to children with autism.
As part of Eden’s holistic approach, Dr. Perymon leads a team that works closely with other treatment providers to ensure continuity of care, conducts parent education trainings to teach parents both advocacy and behavioral techniques and completes assessments to develop behavior management programs, that are aligned with both Eden standards and the State of Florida regulations. Eden uses the most current, research- based methodologies for treatment and training of children and families affected by autism.
Dr. Perymon earned her doctorate in Clinical Child Psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Entering the field as an ABA therapist, Dr. Perymon trained at the Lovaas Institute and the Douglas Developmental Disabilities Center at Rutgers University becoming a program manager for Huber Heights City Schools. She gained extensive experience in autism diagnosis, assessment, and treatment at the Kelberman Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital's Center for Developmental Disabilities, the Brief Therapy Clinic at the South Behavioral Therapy Center, and Wright State University's Center for Disability Services.
Eden Autism Services was founded in New Jersey in 1975 with a mission to improve the lives of children and adults with autism and their families by providing a range of community-based services to meet specific needs throughout the lifespan. In 1996, Eden Autism Services Florida was founded to address the state’s growing need for specialized services for children and adults with autism and their families. Eden Autism Services Florida’s services range from comprehensive outreach, including program consultations and early intervention, to schools in Naples and Fort Myers for school age students, an organic training farm, and residential and employment services for adults.
