Indianapolis, IN, April 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Free ebook available now: The Art of Online Ministry: How to Launch A Church Online
Experienced online minister and President of BlueDoor.tv, Dana Byers has written a unique ebook—which she is making available free—to teach Christians in detail how they can launch their own online ministry.
Most Christian churches and ministries typically begin as outreach designed to serve specific people groups in targeted communities. However, as they grow beyond their physical spaces, ministers often find themselves seeking new avenues to grow and reach more people. The Internet offers an attractive, natural outlet to see their message spread to a global audience.
“We wanted to reach people who were being ignored,” said Brad Singleton, Online Campus Director at Seacoast Church, a multi-site church with campuses in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, “and we realized that people on the web need a Savior just as much as the people at our real-world campuses.” But because online ministry is still in its very early stages, practitioners with real world experience are hard to come by.
That’s where Byers comes in. She has been actively involved in online ministry since 2007, when the practical aspects of this concept originated. Byers served at the forefront of the international expansion of LifeChurch.tv’s “Church Online,” widely acknowledged as an early pioneer in the space. Byers’ role included training teams and launching experiences in Europe, Australia, and South Africa. Since then, Byers and her husband founded the non-profit Blue Door Ministries, launching the first online church in a non-English speaking country (Poland).
Through her continuing work in online evangelism, Byers has become somewhat of a recognized expert in communicating the “why” and “how” behind the practice. Craig Groeschel, Senior Pastor of LifeChurch.tv, even said of Byers, “Dana’s passion for online ministry and worldwide evangelism is undeniable. She continues to be an integral part of our Church Online experiences. I recommend BlueDoor.tv to any ministry looking to reach people online.”
