About Man & Woman of the Year Campaign
Every year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society organizes the Man & Woman of the Year campaign, a fundraising competition participated by nominated candidates from each chapter all over the country. The candidates have 10 weeks to raise money and spread awareness about the cause. Each dollar raised counts as one “vote” and the nominee with the most votes at the end of the ten weeks is named the Man or Woman of the Year. All funds raised are donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to support the organization and its mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
