Technology and Operations Veteran Joins Webs as COO
Rich Ellinger Brings 20 Years of Experience to Key Executive Role
Silver Spring, MD, April 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Webs, the popular do-it-yourself solution for website creation, today announced the appointment of Rich Ellinger as Chief Operating Officer.
Ellinger comes to Webs with 20 years of technology and operations experience, including key executive positions at Jobfox, Saba and Oracle.
As the Chief Operating Officer for Webs, Ellinger will oversee the main operations of the business. This includes the full customer lifecycle -- user acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention -- as well as engineering, system administration and marketing operations.
“We are honored to have Rich join the Webs executive team,” said Haroon Mokhtarzada, CEO and co-founder of Webs. “He brings a unique combination of technology and operational skills that will help our company move to the next level. He can relate to all departments within our organization and help guide the strategic direction of Webs.”
Prior to joining Webs, Ellinger was CTO at Jobfox and the co-founder and Vice President of Engineering for Saba, the leader in Human Capital Management solutions. He was one of the two original architects of Saba's suite of product offerings and holds a patent for the Saba technology. Between 1997 and 2006, he was instrumental in growing Saba to over 500 employees and nearly $100 million in annual revenue. He started his career at Oracle Corporation working on a next generation “Universal Inbox.”
“I welcome the opportunity to be a part of Webs,” said Ellinger. “The team is dedicated to providing small business customers with robust yet simple-to-use applications. I look forward to contributing to their success.”
Ellinger holds a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.A. in Political Science and a M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
