Joel Key Earns Designation Through National Association of Home Builders

The CGP title recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes without adding high costs. To earn this designation, Key was required to take courses in green building for building professionals, have a minimum of two years building industry experience and sign the CGP Code of Ethics. To maintain a CGP designation, industry professionals are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education every three years from building industry-related educational activities, with a minimum of eight hours coming from green building industry-related education activities.
The curriculum includes strategies for incorporating green building principles into homes without driving up the cost of construction and specific techniques to improve indoor environmental quality and resource efficiency.
