CEI Management at Six Sigma Training
Wallingford, CT, February 27, 2007 --(PR.com)-- CEI remains dedicated to continuous improvement. By implementing Six Sigma, CEI hopes to add to its impressive Total Quality Management System that already includes In-Process SPC and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Last year, CEI purchased two Orion SPC Data Collection systems for in-process data collection. This allows press operators and CNC machinists to closely monitor and control the manufacturing process in real time.
CEI has taken advantage of lean manufacturing principles to eliminate wasted time and material which can provide their customers with higher value. Examples of lean manufacturing at CEI include a carefully mapped out facility, documentation of all critical information throughout the manufacturing process, and continuous training of all employees.
Other major companies that have taken advantage of the Six Sigma principles include Motorola, 3M, General Electric, and Boeing.
