Rooftop Intruders Stopped by Sonitrol Pacific
Everett, WA, April 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On Sunday the 27th of March, operator Kris Etheridge was monitoring in the Sonitrol Pacific Verification Center when she received audio activations from a public middle school. Upon listening in, she heard metallic thuds and faint voices, so she immediately dispatched the Snohomish County Sheriff.
Deputies, including police dog officers, entered the building, and made a thorough search. Thanks to quick reactions from Kris and the Deputies 2 young men were arrested for breaking into the school. They had somehow gotten onto the roof and broke a lock off of a window to get inside.
Upon questioning the boys said they were not looking to damage anything, they were just bored and looking for something to do. Upon further investigation nothing was missing or damaged other than the lock.
