Contamination 2011 Adds Candyman, Leatherface, Zombies, Original “Tron” Cast Member & a Playmate to Lineup
Tony Todd, Bill Johnson, “Day of the Dead” Reunion, Dan Shor and Max Wasa Join Already Impressive Lineup of Horror, Sci-Fi and Pop Culture Icons
St. Louis, MO, April 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dyer Straits Productions (DSP) announce the newest additions to Contamination 2011 The Sequel: Tony Todd (“Candyman”), Bill Johnson (Leatherface in “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2”), “Day of the Dead” Reunion with Gary Klar, Mark Tierno and Terry Alexander, Dan Shor (Ram in 1982’s “Tron”) along with Playboy Playmate Max Wasa. These celebrities join an already impressive lineup of icons at the highly anticipated follow-up to St. Louis’ first horror, sci-fi and pop-culture convention all under one roof. The Sheraton Westport Chalet will host the event June 24th – 26th, 2011. Actor Eric Roberts and “The Boondock Saints” Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and David Dela Rocco are headlining the event.
Horror fans will also have a “Jason” (Kane Hodder, “Friday the 13th parts 7-10”), a “Michael Myers” (Brad Loree, “Halloween Resurrection”), and a “Super Freddy” (Michael Bailey Smith, “A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child”) to meet. Sandahl Bergman and Pittsburgh Steeler Ben Davidson (“Conan the Barbarian”) join Roger Corman’s original “Fantastic Four” reunion (Alex Hyde-White, Rebecca Staab, Jay Underwood, Michael Bailey Smith, Carl Ciarfalio & Joseph Culp). And musician G Tom Mac, who wrote the iconic Cry Little Sister from “The Lost Boys,” will also perform live in concert with his band.
Fans will get a total “Celebrity” experience: a chance to meet the celebrities, get autographs and pictures and even have dinner with them; have access to a 24 hour movie room and a “Drive In” movie experience; rock out at a concert; compete for prizes at the costume contest; browse the dealer room; attend seminars; and party to their Contaminated hearts content at a cocktail party, a masquerade ball and a pool party.
Tickets for the weekend convention, the Celebrity Dinner and concert are available online now along with an application for those interested in volunteering for the event. Vendors can reserve a spot, sponsorship packages are still available and discount rooms at the Sheraton Westport are being offered while they last. The successful event that began this new tradition in St. Louis - Contamination 2010 - was held April 30 through May 2, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Viking and featured film legends from popular horror classics like “The Howling” and George A. Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead,” pop culture icon Larry Thomas “The Soup Nazi” from “Seinfeld,” sports legend Ken Norton, the 70s Godfather of Soul Cinema Fred “The Hammer” Williamson, “The Lost Boys” Brooke McCarter and Billy Wirth, and showcased one of the most recognized cars in the world - The Batmobile.
