Mama Bracelets & SIDS: From One Family to Many Families

Naperville, IL, April 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The “Maddie Angel” Bracelet, designed by the owner of Mama Bracelets, Lindsay Casten, brought in donations that are to go directly to the family to help support them after the loss of their 4-month old daughter, Maddie, to SIDS.

Many people bought the bracelet and in doing so commented about their own experiences with SIDS.

“We noticed that people who have lost a child or knew someone who did, really appreciated having something so remarkably simple and stylish while carrying an abundance of meaning,” comments Michael Casten, PR Rep for Mama Bracelets.

Mama Bracelets and “Maddie’s Mom Made That” owner Kellie Staats, teamed up to spread awareness about SIDS. Mrs. Staats started a “team” with The American SIDS Institute to support their Spring-for-SIDS Event on April 29, 2011. The team name is “Team M” in memory of Maddie and Macie.

MB and MMMT’s plan was to educate their blog and Facebook readers, as well as their current customers, by posting SIDS information nightly from March 27 through April 1, 2011. On April 1st, Mama Bracelets then launched the new SIDS Awareness HALO Bracelet that has 20% of sale proceeds going to “Team M” in support of The American SIDS Institute.

“The responses I had gotten from people when I make them a “Maddie Angel” Bracelet made it so special for me,” says owner, Lindsay Casten, “knowing that I am touching the lives of others and bringing some peace to them fills my heart; I am looking forward to doing more of the same with the SIDS Awareness HALO Bracelet.”

The SIDS Awareness HALO Bracelet sells for $30.00 and has design options available when purchasing. It will be available online at www.mamabracelets.com from now until April 25, 2011. When all sales are final, Mama Bracelets will donate 20% of the sale proceeds to Team M.
