Survey Reveals What Business Leaders Won't Leave Home Without
PrivateFly.com travel survey uncovers some surprises in the overhead lockers of .the UK’s top business people-
London, United Kingdom, April 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A recent survey of UK business leaders* has revealed the contents of their corporate travel bags. CEOs, MDs and Chairmen from some of the UK’s top companies were invited to participate in the research which was undertaken by Clarity, an independent online survey company, and commissioned by leading online private jet booking network PrivateFly.com.
Participants were asked about the three most important items on their packing list, with the most popular answers: Phone or smartphone (30%); laptop (23%); clothes/accessories (10%) and passport (7%). However almost a third of business leaders (30%) cited other "must-haves" beyond these travel staples including: gym wear; contact lenses; noise suppression headphones; family photos and condoms.
The survey also quizzed the business leaders’ about other aspects of their business travel including experiences of different modes of transport; impact of technology on travel arrangements; and travel frustrations. Overall the message about business travel was a positive one: Despite gripes about airline inefficiencies and wasted time, a significant majority (69%) said that they enjoy travelling on business overall. Private aviation ranked as both the most efficient (scoring 3.54 out of 5) and the most enjoyable mode of transport (scoring 4.32).
Commenting on the results, Adam Twidell, CEO and founder of PrivateFly.com, said: “Someone’s packing list can give a fascinating insight into their feelings about travelling in general. While the most popular items were those which allow business leaders to stay in contact with the office, other important or familiar items from home were also deemed key to their travel experience.”
