NC State Jenkins MBA Alumnus Ted Mosler Honored for Contributions to Research Triangle Park Growth
Gilero Biomedical Chief Technical Officer Ranked Among Top 50 Catalyst Entrepreneurs in Triangle Region
Raleigh, NC, April 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The NC State Jenkins MBA program (http://mgt.ncsu.edu/mba/) in the Poole College of Management has announced that Ted Mosler, alumnus and chief technical officer at Gilero Biomedical, a biomedical product innovation company in Research Triangle Park, has been ranked on the Top 50 Catalyst Entrepreneur list, which honors business professionals for contributions to the growth of their communities. After earning his MBA with a concentration in technology entrepreneurship and commercialization (TEC) in 2002, Mosler launched Gilero Biomedical, applying the engineering and technology skills he learned as part of Jenkins’ first graduating class. Under his leadership, Gilero Biomedical has experienced tremendous success, most recently being ranked on Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000 list, distinguishing the company as one of the nation’s top, fastest-growing privately-held businesses.
Quote:
“Ted personifies the ideal desired outcome for the Jenkins MBA and the TEC concentration,” said Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs and research at NC State University’s Poole College of Management. “He has taken his technical skills to start a successful company, using the management skills learned in our program. He is a model alumnus.”
“Being recognized for something that is not a natural skill, but something that is cultivated, feels wonderful,” said Mosler. “The Jenkins MBA program was full of bright people, and I learned so much from them. The executives in residence at the TEC program helped and advised me, and even today, I still advise with individuals I met while at Jenkins. All of their insight is invaluable as Gilero Biomedical grows and adds new staff.”
