DanzHouse Wins Big at Major Dance Event
For Competitive Dancers at DanzHouse, the trip to Showstopper Dance Championships was an Exciting One.
Memphis, TN, April 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In West Memphis last weekend, DanzHouse competed against dozens of dance studios from around the Mid South for prestigious top honors at Showstopper, the largest Dance Competition in the Country. Their entries placed as follows:
“Beautiful” received 2nd place overall in Junior Advance Small group, Jayla Watkins received 5th overall in Junior Advance Solo, “Boogie Wonderland” received 3rd place overall in Junior Advance Small group, “Supersonic” received 1st place overall in Junior Advance Large group, “Tear It Down received 1st place overall in Junior Advance Duet/Trio, Araya Jackson received 1st overall in the Junior Solo, Kamryn Vaulx received 1st overall in the Teen Advance Solo, Codi Smith received 2nd overall in Junior Advance Solo and DanzHouse received 10 double platinum awards; 6 platinum awards; 5 gold awards; This qualifies them to go to the Showstopper National Finals in either Myrtle Beach, Anaheim or Galveston this summer.
Studio Owners, Kathalene Taylor-White and Vera Dantzler are very proud of the incredible job their dancers did this past weekend. “They have worked hard all year long, giving up their Saturdays from August to May just for our choreography rehearsals. They have been so dedicated to their weekly technique classes, and their hard work has paid off.”
DanzHouse was founded in August 2008, and is Memphis’ premiere dance studio for technical training in Ballet, Jazz, Hip -Hop and Tap. Owners Vera Dantzler and Kathalene Taylor-White established DanzHouse as an outlet for students and parents who are looking for creative arts activities that are new, exciting, and innovative. The four member teaching staff at Danzhouse is devoted to creating a positive atmosphere where each and every student is encouraged to reach their personal best.
