Atlantis All In Poker Series Results

Reno, NV, April 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Atlantis Casino Resort Spa proves to be the poker destination in northern Nevada. The inaugural 2011 Atlantis All In Poker Series, successfully executed over a ten-day span, attracted marquee professionals and amateur poker enthusiasts from around the globe. Players took in the dramatic views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains and cityscape through soaring floor-to-ceiling windows in Atlantis’ distinctive tournament setting. An amount of $211,749 was won in the tournaments throughout the week, culminating with over $100,000 in the Main Event prize pool. The tournament series included a variety of live action games from Pot Limit Omaha High to 5/10 No-Limit Hold'em.

Atlantis All In Poker Series offered unique playing structures for both professional and amateur players. Professional and amateur players enjoyed deep stack structures, and a team component of the tournament series. The North American Team Challenge, encompassed over 30-teams of 5 players per team. The winning team was The Face of Poker, with 938 points. Winning team members included: Jim Martini, Jeff Cox, Anthony Mendoza, Tim Malone and William Watchman.

Poker celebrity sightings were common place during the tournament. Omaha/8 legend, Mark Tenner was present, while World Series of Poker bracelet winner Jennifer Harman placed 8th at the Main Event Final Table. John “nickolak” Kim prevailed as the Atlantis All In Poker Series 1st place victor. The Final Table took place under the lights and cameras of Red Deck Productions for the upcoming TV series High Stakes Hold’em.

High Stakes Hold’em will be the first poker television show filmed entirely in Reno, Nevada. Two episodes will feature the action at the Main Event Final Table of the Atlantis All In Poker Series™. In addition, thirteen episodes will feature the action at a high stakes cash game of invited marquee poker professionals filmed in an unrivalled backdrop that captured the cosmopolitan essence of the award-winning Atlantis Steakhouse. Professionals included: Michael Nelson, John “nickolak” Kim, Brent “astrolux85” Roberts, Daniel “ejk123” Kelly, Jesse Meginty and Dan Harmetz.
