New Kamweld Plastic Benders Works with Sheets to 12 Feet Wide
Kamweld Technologies has introduced plastic benders that handle sheets up to 11 feet wide and can make multiple bends on one sheet for faster fabrication of signs and enclosures. They handle a wide range of plastics, shapes and thicknesses.
Norwood, MA, April 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Kamweld Technologies, a leading US provider of plastic fabricating tools has introduced a new series of plastic bending devices for curving and angling plastic sheets from 1/16 to 1/2-inch thick. Four plastic sheet bending models are available, allowing work on sheets of increasing widths. The KHD-28 bender can accommodate sheets up to 28 inches wide; the KHD-54 works with sheets up to 58 inches wide; the KHD-96 handles sheets to 96 inches (8 feet) wide; and the KHD-144 can be used to bend plastic sheets up to 144 inches (12 feet) in width. Each bender can work with continuous sheet lengths.
Typical uses for the new KHD sheet benders include the manufacture of plastic signs, displays, and trade show exhibit systems, along with the fabrication of enclosures and other structures where a corrosion free environment is needed. Examples of these include air handling equipment, plastic tanks, lab benches and chemical etching equipment.
All of the KHD sheet bending devices can be used on a wide range of thermoplastic types, including PVC, polypropylene, high density polypropylene, acrylics, polycarbonates, polystyrenes, foamboards and PVC bends.
“In this competitive marketplace, fabricators want to offer more options; this includes the ability to make multiple bends in plastic sheeting. The new KHD tools provide fast, precise bends that are strong and look great,” says Len Alter, Kamweld Product Manager. “They can be used for intricate fabrications or for high volume production. And they work on all the popular thermoplastics now in use in the industry.”
