ALC Spring Fundraiser - Joyce Gordon Gallery in Oakland, CA
Join them to help adults ages 55 and older that are low income and at risk of homelessness to secure affordable housing.
Oakland, CA, April 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ALC will host its 2nd Annual Spring Fundraiser on Saturday, April 30, 2011.
6:00pm to 9:00 pm – Joyce Gordon Gallery, 406 14th Street, Oakland 94612
Proceeds will benefit ALC to provide affordable housing to elderly adults who are low income and at risk of homelessness. ALC is an entity dedicated to providing supportive affordable housing communities to adults ages 55 and older that are low income and at risk of homelessness. ALC provide needed services to individuals that would otherwise be living on the streets or relying on already overly-burdened housing shelters.
ALC not only improves the lives of individuals who will then have access to housing, but also decreases the strain on the resources of the community that would otherwise occur.
“I had no where to go and ALC helped me reorganize my life. I am so very grateful to have my own space away from the hate and crime I experienced living on the streets, in my car and shelters.” – Nancy Jonobeh
To RSVP or for further information, please contact Detra L. Lelaind, Executive Director at (510) 331-4900 or Detra@alelaindcommunity.org, 220 Fourth Street, Suite 200, Oakland, CA 94607. www.alelaindcommunity.org
