Leading Edge RTL Mobile Portal Developed by Momac Launches in Belgium
Momac, a leader in innovative mobile solutions, recently teamed with Belgium’s principal media group RTL to develop the cutting-edge new mobile portal RTL.be that features the latest rich-media elements and expansive micro-sites.
Paris, France, April 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- An expert in the development of innovative mobile sites as well as native and hybrid apps, Momac designed the entire RTL.be webapp, which is also run exclusively by Momac’s cloud-based mobile publishing platform mvolve. The RTL.be mobile portal is comprised of several microsites that feature RTL “news,” “sports,” “entertainment,” and “people” content and boasts scroll menus, video, blog content, social media and email sharing tools, personalisation options and other technologically advanced features.
RTL.be now sets the pace for mobile media in Belgium. Deputy Director for RTL New Media Edouard de Witte explains the importance of being able to provide RTL content to a wide variety of mobile device users.
“It is infinitely important for all of our customers to be able to connect to the new RTL.be mobile portal and access our content and services,” he says. “Mvolve automatically adapts the RTL.be webapp to virtually any phone, from feature phones to the latest smartphones so that we may effectively reach our entire mobile audience.”
A highly flexible yet extremely powerful mobile publishing platform, the cloud-based platform mvolve renders mobile portals on the fly for more than 6,500 mobile devices, ensuring seamless access for end-users. According to Olivier Milcent, Momac’s Chief Marketing Officer, ease-of-use is precisely what clients like RTL and other media companies are in search of when it comes to webapps.
“RTL has been using mvolve for over a year now and with it they have been able to create a huge, interactive mobile site,” he said. “It has become essential for media companies to be able to quickly and autonomously update editorial and other content several times a day and to easily expand their mobile site as needed, which is precisely what RTL uses the mvolve platform to do.”
Following initial design development, RTL promptly and independently began using the mvolve interface to manage and supplement the RTL.be portal, creating complementary pages and updating content. A flexible alternative to costly on-site software installation, mvolve is a cloud-hosted interface that gives clients the control over their mobile site management.
