BioPharm Systems’ Clinical Trial Management Practice Implements ASCEND and Integrates the CTMS with Preferred CRO
San Mateo, CA, April 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- BioPharm Systems, a leading provider of clinical trial, data, and drug safety solutions, today announced that it completed a large-scale clinical trial management system (CTMS) implementation and integration project for a global biopharmaceutical organization based in New England.
The sponsor, an oncology-focused organization, selected BioPharm Systems’ ASCEND solution as their CTMS. ASCEND is a pre-configured and enhanced version of Oracle's Siebel Clinical application, designed to make this world-class system affordable for life sciences organizations of all sizes. The CTMS accelerator significantly reduces implementation costs and timeframes, and includes robust capabilities found on many companies' wish lists.
In addition to the implementation of ASCEND, BioPharm Systems simultaneously built client-specific configurations and integrated the CTMS solution with one of the sponsor’s preferred contract research organizations (CRO). The end result was a complete and integrated CTMS that reduces data entry and increases the visibility of clinical studies. The sponsor will integrate the system with two additional preferred CROs later this year to further streamline their clinical trial management process.
Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies, in addition to contract research organizations and academic institutions are increasingly seeking robust CTMS solutions that can be integrated with other systems.
