Local Credit Union Makes National List of Top 100 Best Workplaces in Canada
Vancouver, Canada, April 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Community Savings, a credit union dedicated to financially empowering the working community within British Columbia, has been named one of the Best Workplaces in Canada.
The local credit union made the national list by cultivating a workplace culture that values its employees. In addition to an above industry average compensation package, Community Savings also places a strong emphasis on work-life balance. These factors have helped the financial institution to achieve one of the highest credit union employee retention rates in BC.
“To be recognized amongst this prestigious list of national companies is an honour,” said Bruce Cook, Community Savings’ President and CEO. “I am proud of the fact that we have created an enjoyable and rewarding workplace for our employees. It’s important to me that the talented people we hire feel appreciated and valued.”
This list of “Best Workplaces in Canada” is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from an employee survey; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great workplace: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
