NC State Jenkins MBA Student Robert Flynn Earns Place in Canadian Leadership Orientation Program
Flynn Among 20 MBA Students Nationally Chosen for Prestigious Program at University Of Ottawa
Raleigh, NC, April 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The NC State Jenkins MBA program (http://mgt.ncsu.edu/mba/) in the Poole College of Management has announced that first-year marketing student Robert Flynn is one of 20 MBA students selected from around the country to join the Canadian Leadership Orientation Program, which focuses on Canada’s economic, industrial and financial market structure and involves high-level briefings by Canadian political and business leaders and company visits in both Ottawa and Montreal. With a goal of enabling the next generation of American business leaders to become familiar with Canada, the United States’ largest trading partner, the Canadian Leadership Orientation Program will take place during the summer of 2011 at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. Flynn’s academic achievements, interest in international relations, and contributions as president of the Poole College of Management’s MBA Student Association and as a graduate assistant led the MBA office to nominate him for the program.
Quote:
“I knew that the Jenkins MBA office was nominating me for the program, but I had no big expectations about the nomination, since the program is highly competitive,” said Flynn. “It is an honor to be selected, and I am excited to meet the other students and to learn from Canada’s cultural and business leaders. The networking and learning that results from this opportunity has the potential to put me on a completely different career path.”
