Inspired by the Long Running Live Stage Show, Dungeon Master Created by Bruce A. Young, Legends of Atoll is a new comedic fantasy web-series produced by the Los Angeles based independent production company, Throw the Gauntlet Productions.

Los Angeles, CA, April 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The fantasy role-playing genre finds a new platform with the adaptation of the long running live stage show, Dungeon Master in Legends of Atoll: Return of the Endless One, premiering on April 25, 2011 from Throw the Gauntlet Productions. This new web series comprised of six, 8-minute episodes in season one is a comedic fantasy-adventure set in the magical world of Atoll, and follows a ragtag group of adventures.

The story chronicles the adventures of a human warrior, Ardek, an Elven Ranger, Tanrissa, and Hughland, a mediocre mage who dropped out of Wizard College. These unlikely heroes and even more unlikely friends must battle warrior skeletons, viscous thugs, talking carpets and the folly of each other if they hope to survive. Their ultimate goal of staying alive is seriously put in jeopardy when they unknowingly aid in the escape of “The Endless One,” a powerful dark sorcerer that was imprisoned many years before.

Legends of Atoll is being directed and produced by Mario N. Bonassin, a co-founder of Throw the Gauntlet Productions with 15 years experience in the film industry. He is joined by his co-producer, Samantha Mason who pitched the web-series shortly after joining the cast of Dungeon Master. Helming the artistic department is production designer Bradd Fillman, (“Gardens of the Night,” “Magic Man,” “Morning,”). The series is written by Michael Axelsen, who wrote for Dungeon Master for six years.

Legends of Atoll stars Dustin Hess (“Heroes,” “Bones,” “Veronica Mars,”) as Hughland, Michael T. Coleman (“The Harimaya Bridge”) as Ardek, Samantha Mason (“The Room”) as Tanrissa, and Commodore James (“Yes Man,” “The West Wing”) as the Endless One. Also starring is Sam Aaron (“DAG,” “The Hustler”) as Riald, a sneaky thief who becomes the pawn of the Endless One.

Legends of Atoll was inspired by the improvisation based stage show, Dungeon Master. Dungeon Master was originally developed at the Organic Theater Company in Chicago by veteran actor Bruce A. Young (“Jurassic Park 3,” “Phenomenon,” “The Sentinel”). It was first produced in 1983 and ran for four years performing for more than 30,000 people, in over 200 different episodes. Dungeon Master opened in Los Angeles on September 7, 2001 and is currently appearing at the Write Act Repertory in Hollywood, CA. Dungeon Master has been featured in LA Weekly and G4's “Attack of the Show."

“Legends of Atoll” will also be featured on G4’s “Attack of the Show” on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 PM.
