DirectRooms.com – Cardiff University Hosts US Indie Rockers on 22 May 2011
Students are often great sounding boards for the successful bands of the future and this May, American indie rockers A Rocket to the Moon and MayDay Parade will put that to the test with live gigs at Cardiff university.
Cardiff, United Kingdom, April 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The two bands enjoy a niche following in the UK and can look forward to enthusiastic crowds at their Cardiff Student Union gig in May. The bands’ dual concert takes place on 22nd May from 7pm and tickets for the gig are going fast.
MayDay Parade were formed in Florida and steadily built up a good name for themselves on the US live gig scene, thanks to their albums A Lesson in Romantics and Anywhere but Here. The 5-piece band will be promoting their new EP, Valdosta on their tour of Europe.
A Rocket to the Moon comes from the opposite end of the States, hailing from Massachusetts, and they too enjoy a cult following back home. Formed 5 years ago the band will be looking to build on the success of their 2010 EP, The Rainy Day Sessions, which achieved significant airplay in the UK.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com says: “Naturally the majority of students in Cardiff already have their own live-in accommodation, but for anyone heading into town for this concert who wants to get good value in Cardiff hotels, booking ahead online is recommended. With taxis in Cardiff being expensive getting a hotel room somewhere close to the University student union venue makes sense all round.”
