Access Self Storage Brings Students $20,000 Closer to Tour

Dallas, TX, April 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- "There is no better way to raise money than to collect the old, the out-of-date, and the antique junk from one friend and sell it to another," states Doug Hunt. Students from all over the DFW metroplex did exactly that this month at Dallas’ largest garage sale. Each year, the Chapel Choir & Orchestra of First Baptist Church partners with Access Self Storage and Truck Rental to put on a garage sale of epic proportions and 2011 was no exception.

The students donate their Saturdays throughout the year to collecting and sorting thousands of unwanted items at Access’ East Dallas location (8047 Ferguson Rd.), then man a weekend-long garage sale that attracts thousands of area residents to its buffet of used goods.

This year, the garage sale raised over $20,000, which will be divided amongst the participating students to offset travel costs for the summer tour. Without the annual garage, which is the group’s largest fundraiser, many of the students would be forced to miss out.
