10 Waxing Warriors Raised Over HK$70,000 for Hong Kong Alley Cat Watch in Dragonfly @ Wyndham Retreat and W52 Restaurant and Bar in Collaboration with Guide to Life
Adam Edwards, the intrepid Waxing Warrior won a return trip to Shanghai with pampering spa treatments from Dragonfly by successfully raising more then HK$18,000.
Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R., April 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Waxing Warriors event by Dragonfly Hong Kong and Guide to Life was held at W52 Restaurant & Bar last night filled with some 80 guests from Hong Kong Alley Cat Watch, Guide to Life and Dragonfly guests along with friends and families of the Waxing Warriors.
W52 Restaurant & Bar and Mayfair Limited were sponsoring the venue with a total of 24 bottles of Prosecco white wine, along with unlimited fine Italian canapes to spice up the atmosphere. DJ Steve Bruce was playing as the guest DJ in support of this event.
The event started at 7pm where Adam Edwards, their first Waxing Warrior volunteered to wax off his hairy chest accompanied by his wife Laura and 2 year old son Jonah along with other friends to the Dragonfly@Wyndham on 5th Floor of W Place where the waxing took place.
Skilful waxing technicians Katy and Shannon were excited as it was the first time they were waxing off men in such numbers in one night. Each time a Warrior came up with friends it generated a mixture of laughter and screams within the compact but cozy waxing room.
Each Waxing Warrior proudly showed off his furry chest and his determination to endure the itch from the wax and stripes for the little kittens - in order to raise funds for the Hong Kong Alley Cat Watch and safeguard stray and maltreated cats in the city.
After the event was finished it was Mark Stoddart who have raised the most funds with more then HK$20,000, however since he is an affiliate to the HKACW he decided to dedicate the prize to Adam Edwards who came second in the fund raising chart. In total all 10 Waxing Warriors raised over HK$70,000 for a good cause.
Adam Edwards won a return trip to Shanghai with hotel accommodation and deluxe pampering treatment in Dragonfly’s flagship branches in Shanghai.
