Grammy Award Winning Songwriter Richard Marx Set for YouTube Collaborations

Hit songwriter to give Youtube musicians the opportunity to co-write a song with him.

Los Angeles, CA, April 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Songwriter of such hits as “This I Promise You” by *NSYNC and “Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross, Richard Marx has sold over 30 million albums and his first 7 singles all reached the Top 5 on the Billboard charts -- a record that still stands today.

To celebrate the re-launch of his Youtube channel www.youtube.com/officialrichardmarx, Marx has taken to the Youtube community to help him choose unsigned artists to co-write with. By utilizing the Google Moderator feature on his channel, Marx will choose 1-3 Youtube music artists to collaborate with in the coming year. “I love the freedom to create and share music that the Internet allows,” said Marx. “Youtube has a thriving music community and I am excited to tap into that.”

There are no official rules for the event said Richard Frias, social media marketing manager for Richard Marx. “We want the community’s voice to be heard by voting up their favorite music artists. After the votes are tallied, Richard will hand pick from the list of top finalists and co-write a song with them,” added Frias.

Marx’s first Youtube co-writer will be chosen by July 1.
