Scottsdale Restaurant Offers a Royal Party and Special Cocktail, Dubbed "The Royal Snub"
Scottsdale, AZ, April 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Didn’t get an invitation to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29? Neither did the folks at British Open Pub in Scottsdale, so they’re staging a wedding party for the uninvited.
The British pub has even whipped up a special drink for the occasion and is offering it for half price throughout the day, as British Open Pub televisions replay the wedding and patrons dine on traditional English fare.
The drink, dubbed the “The Royal Snub,” will be only $4 all day – half the normal price.
“The Royal Snub” features Parrot Bay coconut rum, Patron Citronage (orange-flavored tequila) and a splash of orange juice on the rocks.
“We don’t need a wedding invitation to have a good time,” said British Open Pub owner Gregg Troilo. “When you combine our food, drink specials, pub atmosphere and plenty of cheer, British Open Pub will be way more fun than Westminster Abbey or London on April 29.”
According to news reports, more than 1,900 royal wedding invitations were delivered to dignitaries, family members and celebrities.
The “Bop,” as regulars call it, has something for everyone. Whether it’s authentic English food like Bangers and Mash, traditional American comfort food, a massive selection of beers from around the world or simply a fun pub to watch the day’s biggest sporting events, the Bop is the spot for foodies and sports fans – and on April 29, royal wedding crashers.
