Christian Church Launches Blogs for Women, Men, Teens and Young Adults
The Church of God, a Worldwide Association, expands its website with human-interest stories and Bible-based advice for important segments of its audience.
Orlando, FL, April 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Practical, biblically based blogs designed for women, men, teens and young adults were added to the Church of God, a Worldwide Association, website starting April 8. In the first two weeks, 19 posts by 14 different writers have been uploaded to the site. Subjects covered include worry, forgiveness, leadership, marriage, fashion, hospitality, prayer, baptism and biblical festivals.
Human-interest stories, humorous incidents and real-life practical experiences give a personal touch to the biblical themes presented. The blog posts are intentionally short, in the 400- to 800-word range, with relevant links to related material.
The blogs were launched with basic, generic names, but suggestions for new names are being accepted. The current names and URLs are:
Godly Women Blog at http://cogwa.org/godly-women-blog.
The Man Blog at http://cogwa.org/man-blog.
Teen Blog at http://cogwa.org/teen-blog.
Young Adult Blog at http://cogwa.org/young-adult-blog.
A popular post on the Godly Women blog was titled “A Woman to Remember” about Mary’s extravagant anointing of Jesus before His crucifixion. One reader commented: “Wonderful article. It is interesting that Christ appreciated the precious gift that she gave to Him and that the disciples were concerned about a ‘more worthy’ use of the oil. In today’s world, one of the precious gifts we can give is our time to worship and honor Christ, but so often we are pressed into seemingly ‘more worthy’ actions.”
The new blogs were added to a news and prophecy blog that was launched in January. Future plans are to launch a daily Bible verse blog and perhaps a parenting blog.
“We want to give readers interesting, inspiring and practical posts that will help them in their daily lives and encourage them to study more deeply and develop a deeper relationship with God,” said Mike Bennett, who coordinates the blogs. “We hope many will come back to the blogs often and share ones they find valuable with their Facebook friends. We consider this part of our effort to teach the good news Jesus Christ brought about the Kingdom of God. We have been blessed to have so many enthusiastic and talented writers.”
