The Tarheel Junior Golf Tour Will Host the 2011 "UNC Tarheel Junior Championship" at UNC Finley Golf Club on Oct. 8-9 2011

Raleigh, NC, April 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The 2011 “UNC Tarheel Junior Championship” is filling up fast. The field is very competitive with some of the Tarheel Golf Foundation’s top-ranked golfers already registered. The field also includes players traveling from other states.

Originally designed by George Cobb and redesigned by Tom Fazio, UNC Finley was named one of the top ten college courses in the nation in 2009. UNC Finley was also chosen as one of the top fifty public golf courses in Golf World’s Readers’ Choice Awards in 2008. The course offers an exciting challenge with long yardages, rolling mounds, ponds, and strategically placed bunkers.

The Tarheel Golf Foundation is a North Carolina non-profit organization that promotes junior golf and runs the Tarheel Junior Golf Tour. The Tarheel Junior Golf Tour provides nationally ranked tournaments for aspiring college golfers.
