Nashville, TN, April 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Faded Lives should appeal to anyone who loves a good story. It has a little bit of everything to offer book lovers: mystery, suspense, love, hate, drama, suicide, murder, wisdom, and a lot of Southern cooking. The book builds to a climactic conclusion as Fate conspires to bring the struggles of Emily’s family to a final resolution. In the process of sharing her secrets, Emily and Mark's bond grows deeper. In turn, she helps him come to an important decision in his own life. The ending will make you think about the things that matter most in life.
The idea for this book developed from the notion that most people know very little about the events that have shaped the lives of their older family members and ancestors. Oral history should be preserved -even if it is not always pleasant. This novel focuses on the darker side of the equation, the skeletons in the closet, which are seldom seen or heard.
Author: Edward T. Vaughan was born in Danville, Virginia. He is a graduate of Averett University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He is a talented artist and an avid genealogist. He has three pets, which were adopted from rescue shelters. He enjoys writing, but has worked mainly in the medical and prescription drug industry. He currently resides in Nashville, TN.
Review: “The writing of this story is relaxed and welcoming. I found the characters of Mark and his grandmother especially engaging. The story of the past is well conceived and is skillfully woven into the tapestry. I found reading Faded Lives very satisfying. As in most good stories there is a lesson to be learned, but Edward doesn’t try to hammer the point home. I finished the book with a smile on my face. I have no difficulty recommending this book.” - Alex McGilvery of CelticFrogReviews.
