ABC11 to Participate in and Report Live from Fayetteville Dogwood Festival
Meteorologists Don Schwenneker, Chris Hohmann and Other ABC11 Staff to Take Part in City’s Annual Festival
Raleigh, NC, April 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ABC11 Eyewitness News (http://www.abc11.com) has announced that the station will participate in and report live from the 2011 Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, scheduled for Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1 throughout downtown Fayetteville and at Festival Park, located along Ray Avenue between Rowan Street and Maiden Lane in Fayetteville. Meteorologist Don Schwenneker will provide a live forecast from the event on Friday morning at 6 a.m. and again at noon. Chief meteorologist Chris Hohmann will host his forecast from the festival on the 5 p.m. Friday telecast. Other station anchors and staff will be on hand to join the festivities and meet viewers.
Founded in 1982, the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival has developed into one of the Southeast’s premier annual events. Jo Dee Messina and Everclear will provide headlining musical performances at the event on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively.
