Delaney Vineyards Harvest Quarterly Honors from Grapevine Wine Tours
Delaney Vineyards & Winery secures both “Most Outstanding” honors from Grapevine Wine Tours guests in the first quarter of 2011.
Grapevine, TX, April 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In its closest voting to date, guests of the Grapevine Wine Tours have named Delaney Vineyards the “Most Outstanding Winery” in Grapevine. In fact, Delaney swept both award categories during the first quarter of 2011.
The third quarterly awards competition since tours began – and the first in 2011 – produced the following results:
Most Outstanding Winery -- Delaney Vineyards
Most Outstanding Wine -- 2007 Muscat Canelli (Delaney)
“We are honored and pleased to have garnered such raves from Grapevine Wine Tours guests!” said Jerry Delaney, owner of Delaney Vineyards & Winery. “The tours have been a tremendous addition to the local area, and we’re glad they are exposing even more wine lovers to our winery.”
“We continue to receive high praise on all seven of the wineries we visit on our tours,” said Ladd Biro, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours. “But in the end, our guests were blown away by the beauty and charm of the vineyards and wine-making facility at Delaney, as well as the many outstanding wines they serve.”
Grapevine Wine Tours launched to glowing reviews in July 2010. The tours have been extremely popular with out-of-town visitors and locals alike.
“Our business has been growing in popularity every month, and bookings look very strong moving forward,” said Biro. “We recently hired a third professional tour guide for our team, and we may add a second vehicle to our fleet in the near future.”
Tours rotate daily between Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, Farina’s Winery & Café, Homestead Winery, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino Winery. Every four-hour excursion includes tastings at three wineries, a delicious lunch or dinner, a tour of Historic Grapevine led by a professional guide, and transportation to and from local hotels on a 25-passenger tour bus.
Daily lunch and dinner tours are affordably priced at $59.50 and $79.50, respectively. Group rates and deluxe packages designed for corporate outings, conference and convention groups, fundraisers, birthday and anniversary celebrations and other special occasions are also available.
At the conclusion of every tour, guests are asked to complete a survey, which includes their choices for most outstanding winery and wine. Awards are announced quarterly and annually, exclusively by Grapevine Wine Tours.
Homestead Winery won both previous quarterly honors for Most Outstanding Winery, and its 2007 Syrah was voted top wine last quarter. Farina’s Texas Blend was named Most Outstanding Wine in 2010’s third quarter.
