10th Annual FAST Spring Benefit Fashion Show "Illumination"

Los Angeles, CA, April 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On May 25th, 2011 from 7 to 9pm (doors open at 6pm) in Ackerman Grand Ballroom at 308 Westwood Plaza Los Angeles 90024, FAST at UCLA will be featuring 11 student designers and 35 student models at its 10th annual spring fashion show benefiting the non-profit Food on Foot. “Illumination” is free with clothing donation, open to the public, highlighting the artistic achievement of students in fashion design, production, photography, film, and performing arts.

The show will begin with dance and video performances and segue into a showcasing of UCLA students’ original clothing lines. There will be video and music during intermission along with informational handouts for FAST’s non-profit partner, Food on Foot. Sponsors for the show include: BCBGeneration, Wild Fox Couture, Steve Madden, Volcom, Ezekiel, Function Drinks, Superdry, Waa! and others. Models’ make-up and hair styling will be provided by The Aveda Institute Los Angeles.

Fashion and Student Trends (FAST) is a non-profit, student-created and run organization at UCLA dedicated to providing hands-on experience to students interested in all aspects of the fashion industry. Fostering a channel for fashion-enthusiasts to connect under a common interest, FAST brings together aspiring designers, models, and fashion industry workers from all areas of campus to collaborate on the development and production of photo shoots, design, and events, especially the annual spring benefit show. Students can choose to participate in a variety of avenues including: public relations and marketing, design, modeling, graphic arts, social media, philanthropy, finance, and fundraising and sponsorships.
