Couples for Equality™ Global Launch at Miami Beach Pride Festival 2011 Showcases Legacy Couples
Couples for Equality™ Showcases “Love Above All.”
Miami, FL, May 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Couples for Equality™ (www.CouplesforEquality.org), a registered non-profit, whose mission is to "share with the world the love and commitment of couples who have come together to show their support for all committed relationships," launched globally at Miami Beach Pride on Saturday, April 16th. Over 50,000 people attended.
Couples for Equality™ produces global, offline/"City Tour" events to showcase the love and commitment of couples standing side-by-side in support of all relationships through photographs, written stories, and videography. Materials submitted to their website and at events are shared online to show that the love and commitment of all types of couples is to be valued, honored, and celebrated.
Couples for Equality™ debuted at Miami Beach Pride's Legacy Couples reception at the Park Central Hotel on Ocean Drive honoring long-term, committed relationships by hosting a photo-shoot with Miami photographer Dale Stine. Over 25 Legacy Couples, who have been together from 10 to 67 years, participated in the photo shoot. These photographs are showcased on Couples for Equality™ under Galleries/Miami Beach Pride 2011. In the past week, an additional 100 online submissions from "Couples" all over the world have been added to the Website.
Going forward, Couples for Equality™ will syndicate its materials and gallery, partnering with organizations and not-for-profits which advocate similar values in an effort to educate people on the importance of supporting diverse relationships without judgment or legal obstacles. Materials related to the Couples for Equality project are available to such organizations, websites, businesses, and media outlets upon request and in accordance with not-for-profit rules.
Couples for Equality is a collaboration of founders: Chip Arndt (Internet entrepreneur and co-winner of CBS Television's Amazing Race 4) based in Miami Beach, FL; international photojournalist Michael Davis based in San Francisco, CA; filmmaker and creative director Luis Iga based in Los Angeles, CA; and Niko Nikolaou, Managing Director of Rezinate Marketing+Advertising based in New York, NY.
