Benning Power Electronics Poised for Growth with Move to New Facility in Richardson, Texas
The Self-Sustaining Facility, Which is Twice the Size of Its Previous Location, Will Serve as the Company’s North American Headquarters
Richardson, TX, May 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Benning Power Electronics Inc., a subsidiary of German-based Benning Worldwide, today announced the opening of its new North American headquarters and manufacturing facility. The 68,000 square foot facility is located in Richardson, Texas.
Benning Power Electronics designs, manufactures and installs power conversion systems throughout the United States, Canada and South America. Benning’s product line serves the power needs of a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, handling and distribution centers, industrial equipment, data centers, medical power supply, and the military, among others.
“We have experienced rapid growth in the last several years,” said Mario Barbaresso, CEO of Benning Power Electronics. “We are now the largest of Benning’s 22 subsidiary operations worldwide. To accommodate our continued growth, and the needs of our more than 50 employees, we needed a larger facility. Our new Richardson headquarters will help us meet our goal of doubling our workforce by 2016.”
Benning more than doubled its square footage with the move to the new Richardson facility, located at 1220 Presidential Drive, Richardson, Texas, 75081. Benning’s previous facility was located in Dallas. “We have enjoyed being a member of the North Texas business community since 2001, and we look forward to being a part of the City of Richardson’s thriving business community as well.”

Benning purchased the building in December of 2010 and made extensive renovations to suit its unique needs. Daniel T. Paterson, president of Swearingen Realty Group represented Benning in the transaction.
The design of the new facility allows Benning to decrease its manufacturing time to better meet the needs of its customers, while making a positive impact on the environment. The state-of-the-art facility also features an in-house research and development lab, which allows for the development of new products, and the constant improvement and customization of existing products. There is also a customer training center and a network operations center where Benning has a constant connection to their customers’ power systems, allowing the company to monitor their efficiency levels and quickly respond to any issues.
Benning’s new facility will also be equipped with the technology to be self-sufficient in its power usage with 50 percent of the building’s roof space equipped with solar panels.
