Emergencyshorts.co.uk - Blogs and Short Stories from Real Emergency Service Workers

Emergency Shorts: Blogs and short stories from those who look after everybody else. Police, Ambulance, Fire and the Military, they work tirelessly to help and protect us.

London, United Kingdom, May 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A new website has been created where emergency service workers can come together and share their experiences about their job.

With the 4 main emergency service roles covered; Police, Fire, Ambulance and Military, personnel have been posting their stories from previous jobs and commenting on the latest news affecting their career.

Contributors include:
Police whistle-blower "Inspector Gadget," posting topic after topic from ruralshire’s frontline.
Police Retiree "200 Weeks," on his new life as a civilian staff member in the Police .
The military "Helmand Blog," news from the front-line in Afghanistan.
Paramedic "InsomniacMedic," stories about the horror of treating people on the street.

Creator of emergencyshorts.co.uk (who wishes to remain anonymous) says, “I have yet to find another website that brings all the stories from the emergency services together under one roof. The aim of the website is so civilians know what these brave men and women go through to keep us safe.”

He goes on to say, “It’s easy to post a story if you’re in the job, just sign up to the site or login with your Facebook, Google or Yahoo account. You can post under a pseudonym if you want to protect your identity but sometimes it’s just good to ask your employer- they might be happy to help you do it.”

Currently there are over 900 postings on Emergency Shorts with more and more being added every day.
