Miramichi-Based Atwood Technology Expands, Doubling Staff Over Last Year

Miramichi, Canada, May 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Atwood Technology Inc. (www.atwoodtechnology.com), owner of the www.Kipici.com online dating site and producer of Human Semantic Technology, has announced that it has doubled staff over last year’s high, pushing its employee numbers into double digits. Although Atwood has not released actual numbers, it has confirmed that there are still fewer than twenty employees, with growth still continuing.

A look at the web site’s Team page makes it evident that Atwood is rounding up a highly-skilled team, with three Ph.Ds, an additional MBA, and a McGill-educated lawyer to complement Wharton educated CEO Theresa Williams. “The web site, although accurate about the local operation, can be a little misleading about the company as a whole, as it does not count our remote employees. In addition, our growth has not ceased for the year. We are proud of the team we have attracted and we work hard to ensure the team is proud to be part of the Atwood group,” says Williams.

Recent accomplishments by the Atwood team make it easy to be proud. Atwood has been invited to the Dragons’ Den on May 11 and is a finalist for the KIRA Awards as “Most Promising Start-up.” The KIRA Awards honour leading New Brunswick Information Technology companies; they will be presented on May 5 in Fredericton, NB.
