DFW AMA Presents: The Evolution and Future of Digital Out-of-Home

Experts from across the marketing spectrum will discuss how Digital Place-Based Media is the future of the medium.

Dallas, TX, May 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Digital Place-Based Media is not the most common arm of marketing. The phrase produces few sites on Google, and none on Wikipedia. And yet the growth rate for Digital Place-Based Media has eclipsed the combined growth rates of both television and the Internet, and is exceeded only by Mobile and Social media, of which both have roles in the Place-Based Media ecosystem. All this begs the question: What is Digital Place-Based Media?

Place-Based Media are the television advertisements in front of treadmills, or behind airplane headrests; above men’s urinals, or between supermarket aisles. They don’t have to be digital, but are most effective and eye-catching when they are. And the more digitized and touch-screen our society becomes, the more growth this market can expect.

At the Studio Movie Grill in Dallas on Friday, May 13th, three experts with personal knowledge of the craft will discuss the convergence of television, cell phones, and social media, and the roles each will play in a Place-Based Media network future. Those speakers are Jennifer Bolt, the Executive Director of Engagement Planning & Innovation at TracyLocke; Mike Cearley, the Senior Vice President at Fleishman-Hillard; and Brian Hasenbauer, the Vice President of Marketing with indoorDIRECT.

Seating is limited. Register now to reserve a place. Interested parties can register online. For those who register before May 12th at 7:00 p.m. the cost is $20 for members and $30 for guests. After that the fee increases by $10. Student members are $10.
