Dickey’s Barbecue Partners with the Raleigh Rescue Mission for the Downtown Raleigh Festival of Hope
Dickey’s is donating pulled pork for the fun filled event to help raise awareness for the Raleigh Rescue Missions support for the homeless and poor in the area.
Raleigh, NC, May 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- GMW Carolina, Inc that locally owns and operates the Triangle Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location in Cary, Durham, and Raleigh is participating in the Raleigh Rescue Missions annual Festival of Hope. Raleigh Rescue Mission, 314 E. Hargett Street, will host its Downtown Raleigh Festival of Hope for the community and celebrate their 50 years of service to the homeless and poor in the Raleigh area. This is a free outdoor event for the whole family to enjoy carnival games and inflatables, crafts, face painting, hot dogs, barbecue, international food tasting expo, hear local music and more. The event will be held Saturday, May 7 10 AM – 2 PM in the area surrounding the Raleigh Rescue Mission.
Bring donations of paper products such as toilet paper, napkins and paper towels to help the Mission build a “Paper Palace” during the event. This free event, open to the public is the Mission’s way of saying thanks to the community for their support all year round. Dickey’s has donated a portion of the barbecue that will be served. It will be a “unique” barbecue blend. Dickey’s donation will be mixed with other area barbecue for variety.
