The SADS (Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes ) Foundation Announces New Partnership with PACES (Pediatric & Congenital Electrophysiology Society)

As part of the Heart Rhythm Society Conference in San Francisco, CA this week, the SADS Foundation announces a partnership with PACES (Pediatric & Congenital Electrophysiology Society) and has invited PACES’ President, Peter Fischbach, MD. to serve on the Board of Directors.

San Francisco, CA, May 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Michael Ackerman, MD, PhD, SADS Foundation Board Chair and Associate Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics and Molecular Pharmacology, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, notes, “It has been our honor to partner with PACES over the past several years to promote education, awareness, and research around ion channelopathies. We look to PACES members to be the local educated resource for sudden cardiac death in the young in their communities. We are proud that SADS can be a resource for PACES members in their work with families.”

SADS and PACES have voted to have the incoming PACES President a voting member of the SADS Board of Directors. “This is an important step in our ongoing work with the members of PACES,” says Alice Lara, SADS Foundation CEO. “The SADS Foundation looks forward to an enhanced collaboration with PACES in the future.”
