Madeline Selig Morey, Formerly of SPL WorldGroup, Joins eMeter as Chief Operating Officer
Redwood City, CA, March 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- eMeter announced today that Madeline Selig has joined the management team as Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Selig handles product development, professional services, and customer support for eMeter.
Previously, Ms. Morey was Chief Technical Officer and Sr. Vice President-Development for SPL WorldGroup, Inc., a leading provider of billing and customer information system software for electric utilities. Ms. Morey brings over 25 years of extensive experience in software, management, and technology, with a track record for establishing motivated departments that deliver top-quality products and support.
Ms. Morey’s technical qualifications include several years in Web and client/server systems development and a deep background in relational databases and object-oriented techniques. Ms. Morey spear-headed the development of software in billing, customer service, outage management, asset management, and other critical utility business functions. She marshaled the configuration and installation of these products, leading development and implementation teams around the world.
“When it comes to utility software, Ms. Morey has done it all,” said Cree Edwards, eMeter’s Chairman and CEO. “We’re excited about her ability to build world-class software development and professional services organizations. She will help us take eMeter to the next level of industry leadership in advanced meter information system software.”
“I joined eMeter, because it is the clear leader in the meter data management (MDM) space,” said Ms. Morey. “I am honored to join what is by far the most experienced and knowledgeable management team. I was truly impressed by the robustness of the product – its design reflects eMeter’s unparalleled domain experience combined with the latest in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and open standards. Another aspect of eMeter that I like is its independence, being a pure software company. Utilities are using eMeter’s EnergyIP and EIServer products with numerous AMI and broadband over power line (BPL) systems, as well as for commercial/industrial data collection, replacing MV90 systems.”
Ms. Morey has previously been involved with strategic implementations at Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Atlanta Gas Light, Electricite de France, Toronto Hydro, and many other utilities.
